每个人都有自己的理想。也为之奋斗不息，世界上的哪一位伟人不是从小就树立远大理想，并为之奋斗而最终站在伟人的舞台上的？俄国文学家列夫·托尔斯泰说过：“理想是指路明灯。没有理想，就没有坚定的方向；没有方向，就没有生活。”英国心理学家和教育学家佛来明曾说过：“人一旦失去理想，失去了精神上的追求，人类就变得无知，社会也将会变得漆黑一团。” 那么我们中学生又该树立怎样的理想呢？

古人云：“有志者，事竟成。”所谓志，就是—个人为自己确立的“远大志向”，确立的人生目标，也就是理想。理想，是生活的灯塔，力量的源泉。是要我们付出实际行动的，否则，就叫空想。作为当代中学生，我们不仅要树立自己的理想，更要志存高远，树立远大的理想；而不是仅仅只满足于一时的、生活的需要。因为只有志存高远，追求卓越，成功才会不期而至。有了理想，人生才会变的充满意义，生活才会充满更多的活力与激情。使我们自身的潜能得到充分地迸发，为实现理想的的人生打下坚实的基础。

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
